Cinema Children's film fest in Hyderabad Our Bureau
HYDERABAD: The second Asian Children's Film Festival would be held in the city from November 14 to 20.The festival is being organised by Children's Film Society (Andhra Pradesh) and AP State Film, TV and Theatre Development Corporation Limited (APSFTV&TDC Ltd). About 80 films from at least 10 Asian countries, including Iran and Japan, are likely to be screened in the week-long festival, a statement from Mr M. Vedakumar, Festival Director, and Mr K V Ramana Chari, Chairman and Managing Director of APSFTV&TDC, said here on Tuesday. The main festival venue would be Hari Hara Kala Bhavan in Secunderabad. Some of the films would also be screened at JNTU (Masab Tank) Seminar Hall, Potti Sriramulu Telugu University Conference Hall (Nampally) and Ravindra Bharati. Apart from these centres, films would be screened in eight theatres in Ranga Reddy district and nine in Hyderabad between November 16 and 19. Several workshops, including one on script writing, would be held as a prelude to the festival. During the course of the festival, open forums would be conducted every day at 1 p.m. at the main venue, they said.
