Nutraceuticals summit in Feb

NEW DELHI: The second Nutraceuticals Summit will be held in February next year. This summit will focus on nutraceuticals in healthcare, challenges, opportunities and global outreach.

Leading players in nutraceuticals, research institutes, food and food processing industry, herbal and herbal extracts companies, pharma and biotech companies and the agro-tech industry will participate in the event. Some of the sessions will be on dietary supplements and opportunities, nutraceuticals for women, nutraceuticals and traditional knowledge industry, role of the biotech industry in nutraceuticals, marketing challenges and labelling issues and functional foods.

"This industry has the potential to grow exponentially in the country, as internationally, it is the second fastest growing sector," said Dr V. Prakash, Director, Central Food Technological Research Institute, Mysore.
