SBT hikes deposit rates

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: As part of its deposit mobilisation drive, State Bank of Travancore has hiked interest rates on domestic term deposits. An official spokesman said here that the deposits for the medium and long terms had thus been made attractive for domestic depositors.

For deposits of 180 days and above but not exceeding three years, the rate will henceforth be 5.50 per cent per annum. The new rate for deposits of three years and abovewill be six per cent. These rates are effective from Thursday.
