Meet on boiler engineering at Kochi

Our Bureau

KOCHI: BET 2004, an international congress on boiler engineering and technology is being organised here during November 24-26.

The event will discuss rapid changes taking place in design, manufacturing and controls of boilers — the prime source of heat energy for power generation and process applications across industries — and upgrades of rules and regulations regarding their use, a statement from organisers said.

The congress is being organised by the National Safety Council Kerala, in association with Department of Factories and Boilers, Government of Kerala, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, Kerala State Productivity Council and the Cochin University of Science and Technology.

Around 50 technical papers by experts from India and abroad are expected to be presented during the BET 2004. An exhibition by prominent manufacturers, suppliers and other agencies will also be held during the event, which would attract around 500 delegates.
