Consortium to study BSNL, MTNL merger

THE Department of Telecommunication (DoT) has appointed a consortium led by ICICI Securities as the advisor for finding synergy between Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd.

The consortium includes ABN Amro Rothschild and A.F. Ferguson. The project involves a remuneration of Rs 30 lakh for the advisor.
