Awards & Honours LIBA to begin search for best corporate citizen Our Bureau
Chennai , Nov. 12 THE Loyola Institute of Business Administration (LIBA) is to identify the best corporate citizen for 2004 for the Mother Teresa Award. According to a press release, the award instituted in the name of Mother Teresa to showcase listed public limited companies that have demonstrated strong social responsibility, is to be awarded for the seventh year in succession. The criteria for selection include the company's commitment to quality and customer satisfaction, value addition to shareholders, harmonious industrial relations, direct sponsorship and involvement in projects that benefit the poor and the disabled, environment protection, promotion of ancillary units and employment generation, and recognition of social responsibility in its mission statement. Apart from advertisements inviting applications, MBA students will aslo select three potential candidates each, the release said.
