Cabinet nod for legal treaties with Singapore, S Africa

THE Union Cabinet on Thursday gave its approval for signing of Agreements on Mutual Legal Assistance in connection with investigations, prosecutions and other proceedings relating to criminal matters between India-Singapore and India-South Africa.

India already has similar treaties with the UK, Canada, the Russian Federation, Switzerland, Turkey, France, Kirghyzstan, Kazakhstan, the UAE, Uzbekistan, Mongolia, Tajikistan, Ukraine, the US, Bahrain, Thailand, Kuwait and S. Korea.
