Our Bureau

MUMBAI: Pharmaceuticals Export Promotion Council (Pharmexcil) has signed its first memorandum of understanding with Philippines International Trading Corporation (PITC), a trading and marketing arm of the Philippine Government.

The arrangement would facilitate interaction between healthcare workers and other industry stakeholders in the two countries. Its objectives extend from meeting medicine requirements in Philippines to facilitating interactions with Government bodies in India, a Pharmexcil communiqué said.

PITC comes under the aegis of the Philippines President's Office and its task involves making quality essential medicines accessible, available and affordable for Filipino people, the note added. Pharmexcil is a body set up by the Union Ministry of Commerce & Industry.
