Textiles Raj Rayon net profit up Our Bureau
MUMBAI: Raj Rayon Ltd, Polyester Texturised Yarn (PTY) manufacturer with three manufacturing units at Silvassa, reported a 15.85 per cent rise in net profit to Rs 1.23 crore in the quarter ended September 30, 2004, over Rs 1.06 crore in the corresponding previous period. For the second quarter period, sales increased by 18.51 per cent to Rs 44.12 crore against Rs 37.70 crore previously. Meanwhile, the company has increased total installed capacity to 25,500 TPA. It is also importing a second-hand POY plant for its backward integration project with an installed capacity of 30,000 TPA, from Barmeg, Germany. This project is expected to be completed by the end of Mach 2005. On its completion, the company has planned to double its capacity next year to 60,000 TPA.
