Meet on speech, language tech opens today

New Delhi , Nov. 16

IT and Communications Minister Mr Dayanidhi Maran will inaugurate a three-day international conference on Speech and Language Technology in the capital on Wednesday.

The conference, jointly organised by Department of Information Technology and Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), is aimed at providing an international forum to share experiences of oriental countries in the areas of speech synthesis and recognition technologies, machine-aided translation and content creation, optical character recognition and digital library, an official release said here.

One hundred and twenty experts and delegates are expected to participate in the conference that is being held alongside a workshop on Oriental COCOSDA.
