Retailing Pantaloon to launch new range of shirts Our Bureau
Bangalore , Nov.16 PANTALOON, one of the prominent organised retail companies, has tied up with Resil Chemicals, a leading silicones and finishes company for the textile industry, to use Sensory Perception TechnologyTM (SPTTM) on a limited edition of shirts. This technology is used to treat shirts with Aloe Vera, a moisturising agent. These shirts will be available in all the Pantaloon outlets across India and other retail outlets. Mr. Sanjeev Agarwal, Head - Marketing, Pantaloon Retail (India) Ltd., said the Aloe Vera Range of shirts will be sold under Pantaloons' smart casual label - Bare Leisure. The company plans to introduce more ranges treated with similar technologies, he added. The Aloe Vera shirts come with an added value of moisturising the skin, making them feel fresh throughout the day. The shirt will be showcased in Bangalore Central, Hyderabad Central premier shopping malls and in Pantaloons outlets across the country. Sensory Perception TechnologyTM is based on trapping various fragrances and essences or such other products as insect repellant, cosmetics or medicinal products into millions of microscopic capsules and then sticking these capsules to textile fibres during the last wet finish stage. The microcapsules are manufactured with a protective polymeric coating or melamine shell, which hold microscopic droplets of oil that give the required perception when they are broken down during the usage.
