CII hardware summit in Hyderabad to showcase AP's strengths

The conference would project Andhra Pradesh as a potential destination for the electronics hardware industry.

Hyderabad , Nov. 17

THE Confederation of Indian Industry (CII - AP) is organising the second edition of e-Hardware Summit on the theme `Shaping the road ahead' here this month.

The two-day summit would begin on November 26, a CII press release said on Wednesday.

The summit is supported by reputed electronics and hardware manufacturing associations such as MAIT (Manufacturers Association of Information Technology), CETMA (Consumer Electronics and Television Manufacturers Association), and TEMA (Telecom Equipment Manufacturers Association).

The meet would focus on issues and challenges faced by the hardware industry on its road to achieving global standards in back drop of the upcoming zero duty regime.

"The importance India is gaining, as a design hub for the global hardware industry, will create a global technology base in the country. We need to create proper environment," it said.

The conference would project Andhra Pradesh as a potential destination for the electronics hardware industry.

About 30 speakers from the electronics, telecommunication and hardware segments would address the conference.

It would cover issues such as: Integrating with global systems - WTO; Andhra Pradesh — Destination hardware; and India — The global hub for design, embedded systems and original equipment manufacturers.
