MANGALORE: The Chairman of Indian Council for Social Science Research, Dr V.R. Panchamukhi, said that everything is competition-driven in the globalised era and not cooperation-guided.

He was delivering a special lecture on `Developmental issues in a globalised era' at Justice K. S. Hegde Institute of Management at Nitte in Udupi district on Tuesday. The globalised era is marked by systematic revolution, technology revolution and value erosion.

While the systematic revolution is all about the market-driven economy, information technology contributed to the technology revolution, he said. Value erosion is mainly because of the changes in lifestyle, he added. The Chairman of the Academic Council of the institute, Dr N.K. Thingalaya, was present on the occasion.
