Loan for mussel cultivation

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kerala State Co-operative Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (KSCARDB) has proposed a scheme for extending loan for mussel cultivation.

According to an official spokesman, assistance of up to Rs 42,000 will be given for `rack-type' cultivation over an area of 400 sq metres. The loan shall be repaid within a period of five years at an interest rate of nine per cent.

Details can be had from the taluk level primary co-operative and rural development banks and regional offices in district headquarters, the spokesman added.
