Bangalore , Nov. 17

MRO-TEK expects its new bandwidth management product, eSONA-100, to contribute to revenue growth of 15-20 per cent during the next fiscal and is planning to take it to the European, South American and South-East Asian markets.

The new product is being demonstrated to service providers in South America and India and the company is looking to establish channel partnerships in the US and Japan and had done so in South America and Malaysia, according to Mr S. Narayanan, Chairman and Managing Director. The product has also got the CE/UL certification for marketing in Europe and the company is scouting for partners. MRO-TEK recorded revenues of Rs 101 crore last year and Rs 60 crore in the first half of the current fiscal.

The networking and last mile access product company, says the eSONA-100, is a customer premise equipment costing less than $2,000 in a market where the competing products cost about $20,000.

"This product has a disruptive pricing factor that we hope will let us make inroads into the $400 million worldwide market," Mr S. Narayanan said. MRO-TEK is working with an Israeli chipmaker for the system-on-chip solutions it has developed for the eSONA-100.
