Tata Indicom launches roaming in South

TATA Indicom has launched roaming in all southern States for a monthly rental of Rs 100.

It has also launched a `zonal corridor' topping which gives customers the facility to make STD calls within these states at local call rates for a monthly rental of Rs 150.

The Tata Teleservices Chief Operating Officer, Mr Prabhat Pani, told a press conference that customers will now have roaming facility in 300 towns in Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.

It has also launched a single rate plan for post-paid customers. The new tariff plan caters to all levels of usage.

On this plan, the customer can avail themselves of discounts ranging between 5 per cent and 20 per cent depending on the usage. The single rate for local calls to any phone is Rs 1.25 per minute.
