Tata Indicom cuts pre-paid rates

MUMBAI: Tata Indicom has reduced its prepaid tariff to 3 paise per minute from 5 paise per minute and is offering free SMS service as part of its introductory offer.

It is also offering the Motorola C-131 handset for Rs 1,799, having brought it down from the earlier sale price of Rs 1,999, said company sources.

The prices of some of the other handsets offered by the company might be reduced as well, they said.

The other CDMA wireless player, Reliance Infocomm, recently announced new, reduced tariffs for its prepaid services.
