Conscience vs job security

This is with reference to "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, plus a fox pulling a fast one" (Business Line, November 18). The column has highlighted a serious malady in the corporate financial world — that of dishing out large payments for dubious purposes. Professional accountants remain mute witnesses especially if they are in the employ of such companies.
