Security Attack vehicle to get Army patent Our Bureau

Hyderabad , Nov. 21 THE Chief of Army Staff, Gen. N.C. Vij, will officially announce the first-ever patent for Windy, the fast attack vehicle developed in-house by the Army, which is capable of moving in the desert and rugged terrain, according to Lt. Gen. V.K. Dhir. Addressing a press conference here today on the eve of the Eighth Reunion of the Corps of Electronics and Mechanical Engineers, Gen. Dhir said this carries variety of surveillance equipment and armaments. Windy has received widespread acclaim for its ingenuity, low silhouette and high combat power. This vehicle, which costs about Rs 8 lakh, is being considered to have secured the first-ever patent for the Army.
