Hey bhai, will papa ka sapna come mutthi mein?

"Brother, where is the Sensex heading to," wondered Dakshinamoorthy even as he shuffled to his PC for the weekly market chat with Khan, Jogin, and Sridevi. Join in, bhai sahib!

Dax: Anybody has glue to patch up the Ambani

brotherhood sentiment!

Kay: But correction was overdue. Small- and mid-cap

stocks ran up very fast.

Jog: If I had Israeli Kabbala practitioner Ehud Segev's

power...

Sri: Oh, you'd move the market! Or, resolve Ambani

meeting tomorrow!

Kay: Rel Ind, Rel Energy, IPCL and Rel Cap likely to be

wobbly. So, Nifty and Sensex

may rule weak. Oil prices

firming up; that's

another impact.

Jog: I'm watching UB. Mallya

may sell his stake. The stock

gained more than 100 per cent!

Kay: Sale price likely Rs 800.

Looks high, yet stock price

may go to 500-600. If you're

smart, exit around Rs 450, as a matter of safety! If locked in

upper circuit, try McDowell or UB Holdings.

Sri: I was reading Ralph Walkling's paper - that market

is very good at determining if a proposed acquisition

deal is going to go through, how long it is going to take,

and the final price!

Kay: Good, Sri, but take academic inputs with a dose of

salt. Don't tell me I didn't warn you.

Dax: Chart patterns point to a likely corrective phase to

bull trend. But textile stocks look fine, as exports are

buoyant. Watch Mahavir Spinning, Vardhman, Arvind

Mills and Zodiac Clothing.

Sri: Mood is bullish, they say. Several FIIs are sitting on

cash, itching to deploy by mid-Dec.

Jog: By 2004 close, a new high. Ha-ha! I'm not going to

exit mid-cap and small-cap stocks.

Kay: But if you're sitting on profits, better book some,

rather than get too greedy.

Dax: Buoyancy in coal and iron ore prices can drive

trends in Sesa Goa, NMDC, Gujarat NRE Coke and

shipping stocks, which may benefit from attendant spurt

in freight rates.

Kay: GE Shipping went up, not SCI. Simply hovering

around Rs 165-Rs 175 for long.

Sri: Freight rates have improved considerably! I'm

worried about car loans becoming costlier. :-(

Jog: HDFC could be bullish. Mera sapna, sabka apna

car! Take my old car. As is where is. :-)

Dax: There's a worry that some fly-by-fast NRIs are

signing MoUs that are stillborn!

Kay: Better fly Blue Dart! Pricing of the deal is

imminent. Dividend expectations!

Sri: Zinc prices are expected to show a firm undertone;

they touched record highs last month.

Dax: Yes, on the back of Chinese demand, watch price

action in Hindustan Zinc.

Jog: Settlement reached by Ispat Industries with

holders of euro-convertible bonds will mean an outgo

of 25 per cent of the dues. May be a positive for

the stock.

Maano meri baat!

Kay: Yeah, I know I can take duniya mutthi mein, by

putting Jog into the hard disk!

Sri: Crash!!!! LOL
