The Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, having a word with Helal Saeed Khalfan Al Marri, Director General of Dubai World Trade Centre, during the announcement of fourth GITEX Hyderabad, an International exhibition for IT and Communications on Monday. - H. Satish

Hyderabad , Nov. 22

THE Chief Minister, Dr Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy, unlike his predecessor, Mr N. Chandrababu Naidu, does not like to be referred to as the Chief Executive Officer of the State.

" I am the Chief Minister and not the CEO," he asserted at a press conference convened here on Monday to announce the GITEX Exhibition to be held here in January.

The issue came up when newspersons brought to his notice that he had been referred to as a CEO in a brochure brought out by the Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) in connection with the three-day event.

The Chief Minister turned to the DWTC Director-General, Mr Helal Saeed Khalfan Al Marri, who was seated beside him at the press conference, and said, "They (reporters) don't want me to be referred to as a CEO. Neither do I."
