Home furnishing co plans studio

Our Bureau

HYDERABAD: Vijay Textiles Ltd, the city-based home furnishings and upholstery company, is setting up a studio to let its customers have a virtual feel of the products they purchase.

The studio would allow customers to see how a particular product looked in their houses or office environment, the company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange on Monday.

The studio would project how a particular product, in its design and colour texture, looked like when it was put up. "This enables the customer to make a choice easier, better and as per their taste," the company statement said.

"We have initiated a process to set up such a studio, a one-of-its-kind facility in the country," it said. It said some well-known international retail houses possessed such studios. This move was part of 15-year-old company's efforts to catch up on the concepts of mega retail stores.
