Our Bureau

New Delhi , Nov. 23

THE National Institute of Public Finance and Policy (NIPFP) will soon undertake a study on the impact of multilateral lending on State finances.

"We have been asked by the Asian Development Bank to undertake a study on the impact of multilateral lending on the finances of the States. We will try to complete it in the next six months," Mr M. Govinda Rao, Director, NIPFP, told newspersons here on Tuesday.

The study may also cover aspects such as the role of multilateral institutions in pushing the State Governments to be successful in undertaking policy and fiscal reforms.
