Spot rubber prices fall further

NEWS on improvement in arrivals and weakening world markets depressed spot rubber prices further on Wednesday. The absence of buying interest was a loss for all grades.

Major manufacturers were not interested to buy at prevailing market conditions, while exporters kept off completely.

On NMCE, December futures were quoted at Rs 51.10 (51.75 ), January delivery at Rs 52.18 (52.85) , February delivery at Rs 53.05 (53.48) and March delivery at Rs 53.36 ( 54.03) per kg for RSS 4.

Spot rates a kg were: RSS 4 51.00 (51.25); RSS 5 49.00 (49.50); ungraded 47.00 (47.50); ISNR 20 49.50; (50.00); latex 60% 37.50 (38.00).
