THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: An open recruitment rally for enrolment into the Army will be held here at the Pangode Military Ground from December 18 to 25, an official spokesman said.

Candidates hailing from the seven southern districts of the State are eligible to attend, he added. Vacancies to be filled are in the categories of soldier (general duty), soldier (technical), soldier clerk/store keeper (technical) and soldier (nursing assistant).

Candidates from all 14 districts will be considered for the soldier (technical) category. The written examination will be conducted at the Branch Recruiting Office, Thiruvananthapuram, at 6 a.m. on December 26.
