Science Fest in Kottayam from today

KOTTAYAM: The four-day State-level School Science Fest will begin at Kottayam on Thursday.

Mathematics Fest, Work Experience Fest, Special School Work Experience Fest and IT Fest will also be conducted along with Science Fest.

About 6,000 students from 36 educational districts and 500 students from special schools will participate in these fests.

Mr E.T. Mohammed Basheer, Education Minister, will inaugurate the event on November 25. Ms Mercy Ravi, MLA, will preside.

Mr Oommen Chandy, Chief Minister, will inaugurate a public meeting on November 28. Organisers have prepared an estimate of Rs 10 lakh towards expenditure for conducting the fests.
