Rubber Rubber declines on further sales Our Correspondent
Kottayam , Nov. 25 SPOT rubber prices fell further on selling from traders and growers. Arrivals continued to register considerable improvement and buyers were more cautious not to enhance the quotes. Most of them preferred to maintain low volumes due to discouraging world markets. Scattered buying from all sectors was reported from the trading circles but most of the grades lost on improved offering. Sheet rubber RSS 4 declined to Rs 50 from Rs 50.50 on Wednesday. The rubber futures weakened following a sharp decline in TOCOM on Thursday. The December delivery was quoted at Rs 50.56 (51.30), January delivery at Rs 51.35 (52.29), February delivery at Rs 52.50 (53.20) and March delivery at Rs 53.00 (53.57) per kg for RSS 4. At TOCOM the January futures for RSS 3 weakened to 116.4 yen from 121.2 yen a kg. At Bangkok the same grade closed at Rs 54.32 against Rs 54.01 a kg on Wednesday. The spot market rates per kg were as follows: RSS 4 50.00 (50.50); RSS 5 48.50 (49.00); ungraded 46.50 (47.00); ISNR 20 49.00; (49.50); latex 60% 37.50 (37.50).
