Coonoor , Nov. 28

MAJOR spices trading houses in the US such as Morten and Bessett Spices have suggested to Indian organic spices exporters to set up warehouses there.

In a statement issued by the Spices Board in its Spices Market Weekly, the board said this arose from its participation at the recent Biofach America expo.

"The participation has generated a lot of enquiries on organic spices and spices products from the country. Our presence was appreciated by the business visitors from different sections of the industry including organic foods, food supplements, cosmetics and toiletries," the board said.

Over 11 Indian companies had displayed their products. "Many queries for procuring organic spice products for retail sales were got", the board said.
