Water talks between TN and Kerala inconclusive

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Talks between Tamil Nadu and Kerala here on Saturday to review the Parambikkulam-Aliyar river water agreement failed to make any headway.

The Kerala Minister for Water Resources, Mr Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan, the Finance Minister, Mr Vakkom Purushothaman, and visiting Tamil Nadu Ministers Mr O. Panneerselvam and Mr C. Ponnaiyan told newsmen here that the meeting was inconclusive. It has been decided that Chief Secretaries of the two States will meet in Chennai on December 18 to sort out the outstanding issues over which the talks tripped.
