RBI report

This is with reference to the editorial "Bankable trends" (Business Line, November 30).

As rightly pointed out in the editorial, the Reserve Bank of India's Report on Trend and Progress of Banking in India, 2003-04 skims over such contentious issues as corporate governance, making it difficult to guess the mind of the banking regulator. One hopes the apex bank sets right this problem.
