NIHAR Info Global Ltd, a Hyderabad-based software services and products company, has restructured its operations and plans to address new streams of business by partnering with the US-based Alexander Consulting Inc.

The Managing Director of Nihar Info, Mr B.S.N. Suryanarayana, told Business Line, "The company has entered into a strategic alliance with the Connecticut-based consulting firm and is in the process of expanding its outsourcing work. We have seen a series of changes in the business and particularly technology environment, which meant that we too re-align our business strategy.

``Consequently, we have restructured our domestic operations and have created a whole range of products including an enterprise wide product for mining sector. We expect to partner with other companies to blend the product-cum-services mix and broaden business."

Now the company has shifted its focus to software outsourcing and marketing of products with the acquisition of Winquest Consulting, which has since become an overseas subsidiary, he said.

"Last fiscal, the company recorded total revenues of Rs 4 crore and we expect this to go up to about Rs 6 crore this fiscal. Our growth has been modest but with the range of products covering hospitality sector, placements, and an ERP (enterprise resource planning) product for mining sector.

``We have thus far deployed this mining ERP for the State-owned Singareni Collieries Company Ltd, in partnership with ValueLabs, and are targeting other mining companies in the country," Mr Suryanarayana said.
