Hind Latex pays dividend

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Hindustan Latex Ltd (HLL) has paid a dividend of 24.21 per cent amounting to Rs 3.76 crore to the Government for year 2003-04.

The cheque for the amount was handed over to the Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare, Dr Ambumani Ramadoss, at a special function held in New Delhi on Wednesday. The payout this year represented an increase of 33.3 per cent over dividend paid (Rs 2.82 crore) during the past year, an official spokesman said here.

HLL achieved a sales turnover of Rs 163 crore during 2003-04, an increase of 15 per cent over the previous year. The profit after tax of Rs 19 crore represented an increase of 33 per cent over that of the last year.
