Time Travels sets up call centre, to expand water biz

TIME Travels and Tours Ltd, part of the Chennai-based Time group with diversified interests, has set up a call centre to cater to its customers. It also announced plans to offer international tour packages and expand its packaged water business.

The group's chairman, Mr P.K. Kamalanathan, told reporters here today that the call centre would provide Time Travels's customers a range of information including domestic and international discounted air tickets and E-ticketing. Customers can avail of the service by dialling 5526 3334 between 9.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m., which will soon be expanded to 24 hour service.

The company also plans to offer from January 1, 2005, a three-day package to Sri Lanka for Rs 10,000.

He said that it is also launching an in-bound tour package to hill stations such as Coonoor, Gudalur and Valparai, where it has taken on long lease heritage bungalows.

The cost of these services will reflect the company's promise of "A comfortable travel at an economical cost."

It is among the top selling agents for Sri Lankan Airlines, Emirates, Lufthansa, Air Deccan and Air Arabia, he said.
