Strategy Gold's Gym opens Chennai centre Our Bureau
Chennai , Dec. 1 GOLD'S Gym, a US-based international chain, has set up a fitness centre in Chennai. According to Mr G. Ramachandran, Director, Gold's Gym, the Chennai fitness centre is its first outside Mumbai where it has three centres. To the Chennai fitness enthusiast, it brings, apart from the conventional facilities, a spin-studio, a cardio vascular workout in vogue internationally. Apart from the weight-based equipment it will have a section for cardio-vascular exercises and strength training. The centre will also offer other routines such as yoga and Pilates. Personal trainers will also be available. The centre will also focus on sport fitness and sport medicine, he said. Gold's Gym is among the largest chain of fitness centres with 680 facilities in 23 countries. Gold's Gym is in India courtesy F2 Fun & Fitness promoted by three individuals. F2 holds the master franchise for India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Maldives and Bangladesh, where it has a 22,000 sq ft gym in Dhaka. The Chennai outlet is through a sub-franchise route.
