Kerala CM urged to interact with industry bodies

Our Bureau

Kochi , Dec. 5

THE Kerala State Small Industries Association (KSSIA) has called upon the Chief Minister to take the initiative to call high-level interactive sessions with the representatives of the industry to discuss their problems in the sector.

An initiative in this regard will help find solutions to many of the problems faced by the sector and also stop Kerala industrialists from migrating to neighbouring States for expansion and diversification programmes, Mr Xavier Thomas Kondody, State President of the Association, said.

Unfortunately in Kerala, not even the Industry Minister or the Chief Minister show any interest to interact with the industry at least once in a while, he added.

He pointed out that there was no positive response from the Government to any of the issues highlighted by the industrialists even though detailed memorandums were submitted to the Chief Minister and other Ministers in the past.
