New storage products from SGI

BANGALORE: Silicon Graphics Inc (SGI) announced the launch of its storage solutions in the Indian market on Monday for the scientific and the technical segments.

The company is targeting the manufacturing, science, oil and gas, defence and the media sector with its SGI InfiniteStorage product line, said Mr Prasad Medury, Managing Director for Silicon Graphics Systems India Pvt Ltd, at news conference.

The addressable market for SGI in India will be around $150-200 million, he added. SGI has clocked compounded growth of 30 per cent for the last two years, Mr Prasad said.
