ALEAP to offer training in food processing tech

THE Association of Lady Entrepreneurs of Andhra Pradesh (ALEAP) is organising a 4-week entrepreneurial development programme (EDP) training on food processing for first generation entrepreneurs beginning December 15.

The National Institute for Small Industries Extension Training (NISIET), Hyderabad, will also provide its expertise for the training programme, which is being sponsored by the Union Ministry of Food Processing Industries, according to a ALEAP press release.

Several topics such as latest technologies, franchise opportunities, export potential, quality certification, packaging, marketing, finance, working capital management, interaction with bankers, machinery details and Central Government schemes would be discussed, according to Ms Ramadevi Kanneganti, President of ALEAP.

For the training experts in food processing industry and reputed organisations such as the CFTRI, Mysore, KVIC, NISIET, SIDBI and SISI would be available. Practical sessions in the preparation of juices, jams, jellies, bakery items etc have been planned. Entrepreneurs, both men and women interested should register before December 10 with ALEAP, the release said.
