Medical reps plan rally

HYDERABAD: A massive rally by employees in medical and pharma companies is scheduled be held in Hyderabad on December 13, to raise a series of demands.

The rally would see medical and sales representatives from all over the country working for Andhra Pradesh-based companies as well as those working in the State participating, according to a press release from the Federation of Medical & Sales Representatives Association of India.

The association members' demands include implementation of minimum wages act, bonus act and gratuity act; to stipulate working hours and work systems; to bring out standing order for sales promotion employees and to inspect the records and punish the violating employers.

The rally is expected to be addressed by the Minister for Labour and Employments, Members of Parliament, Members of Legislative Assembly and General Secretary of the Association, the Organising Secretary, Mr A. Nageswara Rao, said in the release.
