Retailing Amara Raja outlet at Nellore
CHENNAI: Amara Raja Batteries Ltd has set up an exclusive retail outlet what it calls an Amaron PitStop for its range of automotive batteries at Nellore. According to a press release from the company, the Nellore outlet is the fifth such outlet in Andhra Pradesh. The company has a total of 45 outlets. These outlets not only sell batteries, but also act as collection centres for used batteries. Amara Raja supplies automotive batteries to automobile manufacturers, including DaimlerChrysler, Ford, Ashok Leyland and Mahindra & Mahindra. It recently entered into an agreement with Maruti to supply one lakh batteries over the next one year, the release said.
