New Delhi , Dec. 9

RANBAXY Laboratories Ltd today said that its allied business division, Ranbaxy Fine Chemicals Ltd (RFCL), has been awarded ISO14001:1996 Certification from TUV Suddeutschland India. This puts RFCL amongst the few global companies in the chemical industry to get this certification.

The recognition is reflective of the company's commitment to embrace stricter environment and quality management standards enabling it to strengthen its position as a reliable manufacturer and marketer of fine chemicals, said an official statement.

RFCL commands 11 per cent market share in India and has a significant presence in the international market.

RFCL is engaged in the production of reagents and fine chemicals used in manufacturing processes for specialised industries and laboratory chemicals used in research and development.
