Polymer prices fall further

DECLINING international crude oil prices led to polymer prices in the country falling further for the second time in nine days.

Polymer producers slashed prices of polyethylene further by Rs 3 a kg to Rs 56.70.

Polypropylene prices were down Rs 3.50 a kg to Rs 57.50 a kg.

Polyvinyl chloride prices were down Rs 2.50 a kg to Rs 48.50.

Although Reliance Industries did not make any official announcement on price cuts, industry sources said prices of these products that are used in making plastics, cables, pipes etc, had been cut.
