Mumbai to host seed crushers' global meet

Mumbai , Dec. 10

THE 74th International Association of Seed Crushers (IASC) World Congress will be hosted jointly by the Solent Extractors' Association of India and The Central Organsiation for Oil Industry and Trade (COOIT) during January 17-20, 2005 at Hilton Towers in Mumbai.

About 400 foreign delegates and 200 Indian delegates are expected to participate. India's edible oil economy has a domestic turnover of Rs 70,000 crore and export and import of oilseeds/oils is worth about Rs 15,000 crore per annum.

A special Web site — www.iasc2005.com — for information on the congress has been launched.
