Rubber prices gain on renewed buying

KOTTAYAM: Renewed buying from the covering groups and other sectors continued to add gains to most of the grades on Friday.

Sellers preferred to stay on the sidelines as sentiments turned positive. The NMCE rubber futures weresteady. December was quoted at Rs 51.89 (Rs 51.95), January at Rs 53.07 (Rs 52.87), February at Rs 54.10 (Rs 54.03) and March at Rs 55.10 (Rs 55.01) per kg for RSS 4.

Spot market rates s kg were: RSS 4 Rs 51 (Rs 50.75), RSS 5 Rs 48.50 (Rs 48.25), ungraded Rs 46.75 (Rs 46.75), ISNR 20 Rs 49 (Rs 48.75) and latex 60% Rs 39 (Rs 39).
