TNAU's Community Radio Project

THE Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is pursuing its `Community Radio Project' the State to disseminate farm education among farmers, TNAU Vice-Chancellor, Dr C. Ramasamy, here.

The facility to be brought four places in the State awaiting clearance from Government and soon, farmers will hear live solutions to questions from the experts agriculture.

Initially, it will be at Coimbatore with a two-hour programme daily and would extended to four more districts, including Madurai.

Assistance from the Commonwealth of Learning, Canada is expected, as the project would require Rs 40 lakh as initial investment, he said.

Vice-Chancellor was in the inaugurate a three-winter school on emerging trends in value-added convenience foods' at the Agricultural College and Research Institute.
