Our Bureau

BANGALORE: The Bangalore-based global R&D centre of Schneider Electric has tied up with Tata Elxsi to set up a dedicated software competency centre. The competency centre will focus on development and testing of embedded software and applications offered by Schneider Electric in power and control systems. However, both companies did not disclose the size of the competency centre, in terms of head count.

"Tata Elxsi has a growth strategy consistent with the skill sets required to extend our own software development capability, " said Mr Jacques Letzelter, CEO of the R&D Division of Shchneider Electric India, in a release.

"Schneider Electric has successfully brought to the market innovative solutions such as Transparent Ready that enable proven software and networking technologies to serve the automation and electrical distribution world. We believe our experience in the industrial automation field will help us quickly succeed," said Mr Madhukar Dev, CEO of Tata Elxsi.
