Kolkata , Dec. 13

KOLKATA-BASED LCC Infotech Ltd is at an advanced stage of negotiations with a US-based company for taking over the latter's back office automation work.

A team from the US company will arrive in Chennai shortly for inspection of the project site and other facilities, according to Mr Sidharth Lakhotia, Chief Operating Officer and Director of LCC Infotech Ltd.

Speaking to Business Line, Mr Lakhotia said a three-year contract with the US firm was expected to be signed shortly.

LCC would set up a BPO project in Chennai, the first phase of which would comprise 100 seats.

"We will have 24 x 7 operations and information and data will be exchanged between the US and Chennai on a real time basis," Mr Lakhotia said. He declined to share details of the proposed contract citing a non-disclosure agreement that LCC had signed with the US company.

He, however, mentioned that the quantum of work was expected to increase as years go by.
