Vivek Paul among TIME/CNN's Global Business Influentials

THE Vice-Chairman and CEO of Wipro Technologies, Mr Vivek Paul, has been named among the Global Business Influentials for 2004 by TIME and CNN. TIME has acknowledged Mr Paul's contribution in transforming Wipro Technologies from a $150-million software developer into a $1-billion force in offshore outsourcing, handling IT and customer service for companies.

In the TIME/CNN honouree list for 2004, Mr Paul joins the elite company of renowned global business leaders as Mr Jeffery Immelt, GE; Mr Chuck Prince, Citigroup; and Mr Jamie Dimon, JPMorgan Chase, among others, said a Wipro press release.

The honourees of TIME/CNN are a new breed of business leaders who have redefined the way business is done, with innovative management strategies and a commitment to transparency, clear accountability and even helping change society along the way.
