Federal Bank to host seminar on G-Secs trading

FEDERAL Bank will host a seminar on `Investment and Trading in Government Securities' in Mumbai on Wednesday.

Mr M.R. Ramesh, Managing Director of Clearing Corporation of India Ltd, will inaugurate the seminar at Hotel Athithi, a press release issued here has said. The seminar is being organised under the aegis of the Treasury Department of the bank.

The seminar is being organised in the backdrop of the RBI's efforts to encourage investments in Government securities by retail investors such as high networth individuals, corporates, institutions, trusts and co-operative banks.

Federal Bank maintains an account in Reserve Bank of India for keeping the investments of clients in Government securities.

Federal Bank, with a network of 448 branches, has been in the vanguard of retailing Government securities, the release said.
