XLRI, Jamshedpur, has worked out alliances with a few international institutes, including the Asian Institute of Management (AIM) based in the Philippines, for facilitating student exchange programmes.
The programmes, which will be relevant in the forthcoming academic year, will begin with the 2004-06 batch, XLRI sources mention, adding that students selected from both sides will be required to spend a term in the partner institute.
AIM, it is pointed out, happens to be the first organisation in the ASEAN bloc to receive the `European Quality' label. This has enabled it to become a member of the European Foundation for Management Development.
Another entity with which XLRI has established a tie-up is Malardalen University of Sweden. The Malardalen International Master Academy or MIMA, which is a part of the Malardalen School of Business, happens to be a well-known name in the area of international marketing, it is claimed. It provides knowledge of the principles and core areas of international marketing along with research methods.
Participants to the programme are expected to reap substantial benefits from their interaction with like-minded individuals in the overseas schools, XLRI has observed.
