Sanjiv Lamba is BOC South, S-E Asia MD

BOC Group plc announced on Monday the appointment of Mr Sanjiv Lamba as the Managing Director, Process Gas Solutions, South & Southeast Asia. Mr Lamba, currently the Managing Director of BOC India Ltd, will take over the new responsibility from April 2005.

In his new role, Mr Lamba, who will operate out of Singapore, will look after the BOC group's process gas solutions business in several countries in the region, including India, Pakistan, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, the Philippines and Indonesia. He will cease to have executive responsibilities in BOC India but will continue on its board as a non-executive director representing BOC group plc, according to a press release issued by BOC India. A new General Manager will be appointed in due course for the process gas solutions business in India and he will also serve as the Managing Director of BOC India in place of Mr Lamba. Meanwhile, Mr Neil Lindsay has been appointed General Manager in charge of industrial and special products of BOC India. Both the appointees will be inducted into the board of BOC India as wholetime directors.
